Vanguardist Grenache
Vanguardist Grenache
Vanguardist Grenache | Mclaren Vale, SA | 2019
Arguably winemaker Michael Corbett's finest Grenache release to date.
Red fruits, spice and nutty nuances deliver an exotic and fragrant nose. The wine has a medium body and the palate is fine, ripe and perfectly structured with notes of strawberry, spice, dried herbs and a delicate, moreish acid. The finish is savoury with sandpaper like tannins that sweep through your mouth and linger on.
Grass Roots and good chi: From organically farmed vineyards, Vanguardists’ wine production is small, and their vision is simple. It’s all in their title.
Vanguard or Vanguards (plural) are people or works that are experimental or innovative. Vanguardist means to push the boundaries of the normal or status quo.
Thus, Vanguardist wines were born when one Kiwi, one French and one Aussie joined forces with a strong ambition to make wines that are traditional by region but inspire those with curious palates.
The wines are built with a hands-off approach and winemaker Michael Corbett sends them to Bottle without fining or filtering. A natural approach to winemaking with a sharp and talented eye overseeing the process. And the results speak for themselves. These wines are brilliant, bright, clean, tasty and there are no faults anywhere in sight!
Drink now and until 2030. Vegan friendly.
