Usher Tinkler Rebirth Shiraz | Hunter Valley, NSW | 2020

Taste: With a hint of fun and funk on the nose this wine lures you in straight off the bat. Rich black fruit is balanced with herbal characteristics on the palate that are kept in check with a fresh and frisky acid. A savoury execution brings the wine to a finish but don’t be sad as this wine continues to softly linger with supple and textured tannins. And then you take your next sip. Yum.

The Rebirth Shiraz is the first 2020 wine we have tried and considering the events of this bizarre year (so far) we are pretty stoked on this wine! Sustainable farmed; this organic old vine shiraz was hand harvested from 52-year-old vines before being basket pressed off its skins and aged in barrels for a couple of months before being bottled without fining, filtering or any sulphur additions.
