Queen of Sierra Amber | Sierra Nevada, Cali, USA | 2019

There’s heaps of flavour and personality in this orange wine with mango, ginger, stonefruit and floral notes bursting out of the glass. A blend of mainly Verdelho, Albariño, Muscat, and Chardonnay that’s well built with tea like tannins and a chalky grip on the finish. Super limited juice that’s complex yet still super fun.

Soph Say’s: You might be wondering why we put this in your box as we promote small batch Australian producers. Well, here’s the deal – Forlorn Hope (the guys behind this wine) make a range of wines here in Australia and a range in California. Their Australian range ‘Songs from Mars’ are all sold out, and we won’t be seeing them for a while as the guys had to leave the country when the borders closed. So, when their super limited Californian produced wines arrived in Oz ,we jumped at the chance to get some as we wanted to support Matt and his team and also give you a taste of the fun and fabulous juice they bottle.
