2019 JC’s Own Freestyler White Blend | Barossa Valley, SA

A blend of Riesling, Savagnin, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Crouchen and Chenin Blanc that sees some skin contact (grapes are fermented on skins), lees ageing (where the dead yeasts are left in wine after fermentation) and some co-fermentation (the grape varietals are fermented together).

Soph reckons it is dam good plonk with mouth-watering texture and a palate that is filled to the brim with interest as floral, musky notes give way to dried raisin, honeyed fruit, lemon, ginger and a slightly oxidised, toasty and savoury finish. Yum.
